Saskatchewan Polytechnic là trường bách khoa công lập duy nhất tại tỉnh bang Saskatchewan, được thành lập vào năm 1941. Applied Research Scholarship ($1,000)

Applied Research Scholarships of $1,000 each are available to eligible students. These awards are intended to provide an opportunity for Sask Polytech students to engage in applied research partnerships with industry and the community. Engaging in applied research projects that solve every day problems allows our students and their faculty supervisors to successfully address current industry needs and make a real difference in their communities and in their fields of study.

Eligibility criteria

To be eligible to receive a Saskatchewan Polytechnic Applied Research Scholarship, a student must:

  • Be enrolled full-time in a Saskatchewan Polytechnic certificate, diploma, degree or postgraduate certificate program of 20 weeks or more in length and have completed at least one semester of the program;
  • Submit a letter of recommendation from a faculty member who will supervise the research project;
  • Agree to submit an interim confirmation of progress, signed by the supervisor and a short final report on the outcomes of the project;
  • Agree to present the final results at the annual Applied Research Student Showcase in Saskatoon in May 2023 (date to be determined) and in other presentations and/or videos;
  • Complete this project prior to May 31, 2023.

Saskatchewan Polytechnic International Mobility Award

 

The award is open to all Saskatchewan Polytechnic students in good standing, enrolled in a Saskatchewan Polytechnic or collaborative partner’s certificate, diploma, degree or post-graduate certificate program.The student must be a Canadian citizen or holding permanent resident status.The student must to have completed at least one semester of their program and have a minimum grade point average of 65% in the previous term of study and be in good academic standing at time of application. Students can receive only one Saskatchewan Polytechnic International Mobility Award per academic year of their program.

Selection criteria

 

The International Mobility Award is given to students who are in good academic standing and have demonstrated the potential benefit of the travel experience.

The selection committee will consider the following criteria in selecting the recipient:

Essay of 300-500 words describing the purpose of travel and how it will benefit both the student’s academic program and professional development.Program endorsement via completed International Mobility Participant Confirmation form (included in the application form). Engaging in credit-bearing courses in another country, participating in a student exchange, or participating in an international student competition. Student must agree to provide a report upon return which may be used for Sask Polytech promotional purposes, internally or to the public.

Saskatoon Campus Basic Education Scholarship ($600)

 

Be enrolled full-time in the Saskatoon Campus Adult 12 program for a minimum of 2 semesters; Show proof of acceptance into an industrial program at any accredited institution (ie: Auto Body, Machinist, Welding).

John Stratychuk Award ($600)

Be enrolled full-time in the Adult 12 program at Saskatchewan Polytechnic Saskatoon Campus for a minimum of 2 semesters; Applicant must show proof of enrollment in a community services program at any accredited post-secondary institution (Early Childhood Educaiton, Addictions Counselling, Youth Care Worker).
