INTERNATIONAL ENTRANCE SCHOLARSHIP ($3,000 CAD)

All international students applying to an undergraduate degree program will be automatically considered for this award. Students must have an admission average of at least 85%. Students receive their choice of either $3,000 in tuition credit or eight months of campus housing.

UR CIRCLE OF SCHOLARS ($20,000 CAD)

4 awards for international degree-seeking students with the highest admission averages from identified regions around the world. Students entering in the Fall semester will be automatically considered for this award. $5,000 awarded in the first year, renewable each year if criteria is met. Students will also receive on campus housing as long as they continue to meet the criteria.

Indigenous Economic Development

The six course certificate program (18 credit hours) delivered through Indigenous Studies (DILAC) and Business and Public Administration (DISEED) at First Nations University of Canada will prepare students to engage in culturally appropriate strategies for economic development with Indigenous communities by providing students an understanding of Indigenous culture, history and current events, community research issues and methods, and an introduction to economic theory and business in a First Nations context.

The goal of the First Nations University of Canada's Department of Indigenous Languages, Literatures and Linguistics is to strengthen the First Nations' identity by ensuring the survival of Saskatchewan First Nations' languages. Indigenous Literatures in English

This certificate will allow students to gain a basic grounding in Indigenous literatures in the English language. It is open to all students of literature and/or Indigenous issues, who can thus be recognized for incorporating a strong component towards Indigenization within their studies.

There are so many reasons to study Japanese. First - it's not as hard as you think! It's true that Japanese has a much different system of writing than English or other European languages. However, did you know that new speakers can get by simply by learning 5 vowels, 39 consonant and vowel combinations, and 2 additions? These total the Japanese language's 46 'hiragana' or 'katakana' characters representing Japanese sounds. And in terms of grammar, Japanese nouns have no genders, plural forms, or articles to learn.

The six course certificate program (18 credit hours) delivered through Indigenous Studies (DILAC) and Business and Public Administration (DISEED) at First Nations University of Canada will prepare students to engage in culturally appropriate strategies for economic development with Indigenous communities by providing students an understanding of Indigenous culture, history and current events, community research issues and methods, and an introduction to economic theory and business in a First Nations context.

Indigenous Fine Arts

Culture is the heart and soul of a nation. The history of the First Nations and Inuit peoples of North and South America is hundreds of thousands of years old and was recorded through arts and languages. The Department of Indigenous Fine Arts teaches not only the history of Indigenous art but also modern art and technique.

Indigenous Language

The Certificate of Indigenous Language I is a 5-course program of study which will familiarize the student with the spoken and written forms of a select Indigenous language. Languages of specialization currently available include, but are not limited to, Cree, Saulteaux (Ojibwe), Dene, Dakota and Nakota.

Indigenous Language Guardianship

The Certificate of Indigenous Language Guardianship is a 10-course program of study for those wishing to become community language warriors in the efforts towards Indigenous language revitalization.

Indigenous Languages

The goal of the First Nations University of Canada's Department of Indigenous Languages, Literatures and Linguistics is to strengthen the First Nations' identity by ensuring the survival of Saskatchewan First Nations' languages. We encourage students to be proud of and to use, First Nations' languages.

Indigenous Literatures in English

This certificate will allow students to gain a basic grounding in Indigenous literatures in the English language. It is open to all students of literature and/or Indigenous issues, who can thus be recognized for incorporating a strong component towards Indigenization within their studies.

The Intercultural Leadership Program is intended to prepare undergraduate students for employment and leadership positions with the Saskatchewan crown corporations and other organizations. There are so many reasons to study Japanese. First - it's not as hard as you think! It's true that Japanese has a much different system of writing than English or other European languages. However, did you know that new speakers can get by simply by learning 5 vowels, 39 consonant and vowel combinations, and 2 additions? These total the Japanese language's 46 'hiragana' or 'katakana' characters representing Japanese sounds. And in terms of grammar, Japanese nouns have no genders, plural forms, or articles to learn.
